Question

Unhappy with the performance of my RB5 Prodrive I decided to replace the Prodrive ECU with the original MY99 as a fault finding measure. The standard ECU was a lot smoother and allowed me to rev to 7000 freely. On replacing with the PPP ECU, when it did go it went better (pumping the accelerator)but was more hesitant and unreliable in its power. Incidentally the ECU casing was badged STI. Is this normal? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Question

Would this render your warranty void now (if still applicable?)

Not sure if it would or not....It may be worth considering...

Hello Ronny, hows tricks with you these days?

Berkeley,

My RB5WR did this after the last round of fuel problems, I had some sh1te superunleaded in my tank. Took the car to ScoobySport and Pete ran it through the select monitor for me. The car had retarded itself back by about 3 degrees because it had detected knocking from the poor fuel - car went into protection mode.

Take your's to a dealer for the same diagnosis, or to Pete and enjoy the drive home when all systems are functioning normally again.

regards

Yex
