Default FRONT DISCS

hi folks i have just bought second hand drilled and grooved discs for my 93 wrx as my old discs were crap and standard solid ones the discs i got are just a wee bit rusty just minor so am i rite in saying that i have to skim the discs before i can use them

I cleaned up a lightly rusted pair with a wire wheel in a drill.

It worked a treat.

ive never had to skim discs before just got mentioned to me that i should but wasnt sure cheers bud for reply

Just clean them up and fit

They can be skimmed.......

Disc Skimming

But not an everyday thing !

Your life isn't worth the cost of a couple of new discs? Best of luck mate.

Drilled discs = crap, they can shatter under hard use, a new set of grooved discs are not expensive, or just upgrade to 4 pots

as not working at the mo money a tad tight they wont be permanent so i will buy new ones soon as i can as i no its no great to buy second hand parts wen it comes to the brakes but only choice i had as my discs were totally gubbed
