Default what is it worth 2003 sti ?

Hi

a 2003(53) sti, 140k miles, standard apart from a 3" exhaust with high flow cat, k&n panel filter, walbro fuel pump and prodrive ecu. subaru service history up to and including 120k miles, long mot and tax, silver. it has (quite a few)stone chips and marks around the car but still looks nice. i was thinking £5,500. your input would be helpfull, or maybe considering breaking the car to get the money.

At dealer part ex, £4500 tops.

Private maybe £5500 but the mileage will put alot of people off.

I know it's harsh but the market for these type of cars is on it's knees.

probably get more complete, as the mileage would put people off the main parts like box and diffs and engine. I would say someone would pay £5.5k but might take a while to sell as I know I would be put off by that many miles on a car that can cost a lot to rebuild.

thank you

just be getting offers for 4k, thats why i thought about breaking it. the engine has had work in the last year, ie bores honed, rings, mains big ends, oil pump and new valves. if i broke it i was thinking prices like, seats and door cards carpet and consol £500, side skirts £150, suspention £200, spoiler £250, rear lights £25ea, head lights £50ea, grill £25, engine £1100, gearbox and rear diff £1100, calipers and discs £700, doors bonet and boot £300, wheels £200, scoop £75, front bumper £100, rear bumper £50, intercooler £100, ecu(prodrive) £150, exhaust £150, arbs £30 and that comes to £5380.00 with bits left.

many thanks

mark

As most will know (i keep posting ) i'm looking for a 2003 JDM sti but with a last resort option of a UK 2003/2004 STI.

I did i see a 2004 (54 plate) with 90k on it in pretty good conditon with a 6 month warranty that went at Boxmoor cars ( near Amersham) - too many miles for me but it was up at £7k and went for £6.7k.

Hope that helps guage the price?
