Im looking for a less noisy rear silencer for my bugeye sti,it currently has a nice looking jap style box which angles out on the exit and sort of kicks up a bit it, dont say what make it is but someone mentioned it looks like a magnex,it is about 4.5" and has 3" pipework,i really like the look of it but its just a tad too loud,i want something similar looking but sounds nice until you open the throttle then has a bit of noise, instead of all the time at any revs,if this makes sense ,
So what makes am i looking for ?

I had a magnex which fits your description, it was a 6x4 oval.

 

No mate this is just a slash cut 4.5" round,not oval.

 

The one that it left the factory with will probably be the quietest one you can get at a rough guess.

 

i got a scorpion box thats quiet if your interested? when you boot it it gets louder but not stupid! i now have a H&S system so no longer needed

 

I would advise you to go for a sti genome rear silencer, not to loud on tick over and a lovely sound under throttle, they also tail right off when cruising at 70-80mph making for good motorway driving. Check out you tube for sound clips and the is someone selling one in the for sale section on here at the moment.
Only point I would make is it is not a 3" system silencer.
