Default Classic Waterspray fitment problems with ABS.

I got a facelift Impreza, and I just bought a compelete used but original waterspray kit for the car. But after some research the bottle goes where I have my ABS pump. Is there any other location I place the bottle or buy a smaller bottle?

This is why you had either ABS or IC water spray though you could run the tank to the boot.

...and get a bigger tank, capacity of the OEM bottle is rubbish for any sustained effectiveness

Thats a solution but one hell of a headache. Does anyone have photos of the bottle mounted in the back of the classic? And would I need to replace teh current pump with a larger one, because of the distance?

What about mounting it in the o/s inner arch where the airbox resonator is fitted.
Take out the resonator and it leaves a rather large area for mounting something useful.
The resonator is a 6-8" cube shape. hth

I'd be interested to see a pic of how that works..

Would like to create some space in the engine bay so sounds like a viable option.

thanks

Any photos?

The idea of installing it behind the wing is brilliant. IS there anything behind the passenger side wing?

Not sure about the passenger wing but as I said earlier the o/s wing has the ideal place. Looking at the resonator box today in my garage it is probably even bigger than 6-8 ".

I think i better leave my resonator box in place due to the hot weather we get here. I don't think Subaru just placed it there for the heck of it.

Hmmm, a water bottle, next to a hot engine...and you live in a warm country..id say your just going to WET your intercooler rather then cool it! What about methanol or a water/methanol mix?

have you looked into installing a c02 kit, like one from cry02? that would be my choice for cooling an intercooler.

but cooling your intercooler, would this not cause really cold dense air - perhaps too much, and the possibilty to run lean?

Ross it works fine mate just use the i/c spray buton instead of the stalk at the mo The reason for doing it is exactly the same, trying to get some space back in the engine bay. Battery is next
