The later impreza (Bugeye on) on tend to have a bulb in the cluster, not the exrta fog light on the back, also the steering wheel is the same as fitted to my JDM STi

The Blob STi steering wheel is a three spoke design...silver on early models and black on the later models.

with red stitching LOL

Why has the Blob Sti got a WRX steering wheel? Somethings not right there, has it been in a bump?

Infact that steering wheel looks similar to the one I had in my 99UK Turbo

I'd be wary if I were you, somethings a miss here.

Its not the correct steering wheel, as Midlife has stated, the blobeye STI's have a 3 spoke wheel, thats one off a bug eye.

yup, bugeye steering wheel.

Might of come from Japan with an aftermarket wheel (my spec-c had a NArdi wheel on it). And in the UK bugeye wheels are easier and cheaper to pick up that a blobeye wheel.

So might be something innocent like that.

Worth asking the question tho!

I reckon it's had a small bump, airbag went off, so new wheel. The bumper has either been replaced n sprayed or fixed and had a splitter blended into the bottom of it n sprayed, as I said in the other thread donmojo. Ask the seller and he will probably confirm.

I have to agree with the above STi steering wheels cost a small fortune new from a dealer so I guess he put on a cheaper Bugeye one. No one would use a bugeye wheel by choice.........they are huge !

The front spoiler also has no winglets and a funny lip addition........again probably the cheapest fix

Or maybe it's the cynic in me

Wink comments appreciated

Thanks for the advise guys checked the car yesterday seems alright, the steering wheel came standard on the car, when the dealer brought it. The stickers he said has been debadged from the previous owner in the uk, look alright everything seem to check out with hpi and the dealer. Car looks clean all body panels lined up. might take a chance and buy it. No problems with the engine and transmission, has had all the right services done all fluid and timing belts and tensioners changed. Might try and get some warranty of him as well.
Looks like I might be joining the club

mate, I dont wont to put you off, but there must be a reason why someone has changed the steering wheel, it is not the correct wheel for the car, it would put a lot of people off when looking to buy, and it would do when you look to sell aswell,

the steering wheel is of a classic or bug eyed car

This is how a 2005 JDM STI should look inside:

Front winglets:

Looks like the blue car has a completely different, non standard front lip.
