wrx intercooler and sti intercooler
i have a wrx
can you just change the intercoolers over,ie put an sti one on from the same year v 1-2.
will it make an differents?

From my recent experiences,the STI and wrx V1 and 2 are the same.
It was only the later straight fitted ones that varied in size.
You can fit different model TMIC but there is some work involved with whichever one you choose to fit,search is best as there are a few topics on the subject

You can swap over the WRX for the STi but there is no point because even if it is a bigger intercooler the gains are so small it is just not worth doing.
Fitting an STi 8 TMIC to a Classic, particularly the older ones is a PITA.
Think seriously about fitting an FMIC and if you get an efficient FMIC it is relatively easy to fit and may even be more cost effective.
Do it once and do it properly.
