OK Im perusing the specs on an MY02 WRX and specifically the brakes. They are listed by Subaru as 4pot 16" ventilated discs on the front and 2pot 15" ventilated discs on the rear. Now Im no genius but as far Im aware there are approximately 25.4mm to 1 inch making those front discs a whopping 406.4mm. Now most peeps think about upgrading their brakes to maybe something like the 330mm alcons - so what am I missing here when Subaru are telling me their discs are 406mm when obviously they aint?

 

16" must be the rim diameter musnt it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wrx 02 use 295mm discs on the front dont they??????????
But then the 02 Wrx has 17" rims doesnt it??????????????
