What ECU is this
My mate just bought a Impreza Turbo 2000 and has been told its been chipped
Unfortunately it was done by "previous previous" owner and the receipt is lost - I am doubtful of it been modified but i could be wrong and i know feckall
Also his car is boosting to 1.1bar with a filter,backbox,ignition leads

That's a MY97/98 turbo 2000 ecu case, very difficult to modify. If there is no other sticker on the outside of the case I would not think its modified, open the case to see if ther are any mods to the board inside or a daughter board installed, post a picture if possible, and then we can be sure.

He is away to his work now and is on nightshift BUT i will call him and get himto take it off on nightshift if he aint to busy OR i will do it tomorrow for him
Hmm should it be boosting to 1.15bar according to his DEFI guage
