ive been told fitting a decat down pipe to a classic can change the tone of the exhaust...has anyone had this issue...........as im looking for a make of downpipe that will make my blitz a bit louder then what it is.lol...any ideas.thanks

the de cat down pipe will make the turbo spoil up and hear the wistle and will defo make the exhaust sound deeper and louder

 

thanks, does it make a diffence what make of down pipe as for the sound.or just get any 3 inch bell mouth.

 

I have just fitted a 3" bell mouth decat to my classic wrx with blitz nurspec exhaust , it has made it a bit louder , as above the turbo spools alot quicker now and sounds better , I also heat wrapped the decat , well worth it in my opinion.

 

what make of down pipe did you fit ,did it make the blitz sound louder once fitted

 

it was a japspeed mate , was 3" then reduced to 2.5" bought from 2fast2cool on ebay , yeah made the blitz louder in a good way, hope this helps

 

im thinking of heat wrapping mine , whats the advantage of doing it !
