Default Anyone Runing ECUTEK Delta Dash???

My car has the ECUTEK software so have been looking at getting the Delta Dash instead of gauges.

How have you guys got on with it?

What do you run it on a PC or an in car screen?

Reagrds

There are cheaper/free ways to do it. Check out some of the In Car PC forums.

I've got one - it has a customisable in-car dash display, but to really replace a gauge pack you'd need a proper PC and screen installed. Even then, there are no sensors connected to the ECU for oil temp and oil pressure, so it can't show those - at least, not on my P1 it can't.

It's no doubt an invaluable diagnostic tool if you really understand all the signals it can display and exactly what they ought to be doing all the time. If you don't, then it's still an interesting toy and a good way to learn. Just make sure you get one and play with it when your car is working OK, because if you ever need to diagnose a fault with it, you'll need a set of reference traces to compare back to.

Which install?

I have a laptop balanced on the passenger seat with a USB cable disappearing under the dash

"The" Delta Dash is a bit of PC software. Its a data logging tool that offers basic live tweaks to the ECU map.

DeltaDash

PSI 3 readout units slot into the dash and capture ECU sensor and management info, but doesn't offer data logging like Delta dash does. Unfortunately PSI3 have folded.

Andy - Have you got pics of ur lappy screen with the gauges on. Have you made a custom screen?
You can attach external sensors that the delta software will read, for Oil Temp & Pressure.
