you can get the timing belt kits from any motor factors do you know if yours has the early or late tensioner its worth changing that as well total cost around £250 plus 3 hours labour all in it cost me £415 cheaper if you can do it yourself and if you are buy a water pump there another £45 .

the kit is at the right money but as long as your car has the auto tensioner otherwise you will need the hydraulic adjuster as well as the kit

after 98 i would say yours will be the auto tensioner but to be sure take the right hand timing cover off as you look in the engine bay and you should see if it is.

Cost wise .... auto tensioner verses hydraulic tensioner .... anyone know what the difference is?

Also, it is indicated above that the Auto Tensioner wouldn't need to be replaced, is that right?

I also have a MY00 and it's due it's Cambelt change ... I have been quoted £145 for the Tensioner.

if you look at the first timing belt kit in the first thread (japanese import car parts) the auto tensioner is with the kit if yours happens to be the hydraulic tensioner going by that site it will be an extra £84 on top of the kit without auto tensioner.
