My better half (in case she reads this !!) has £1,000 to spend on some form of training as part of a severance package from the company she used to work for. She's found a new job now and doesn't really need to use this money but she doesn't want to pass up on the chance to spend it on something 'fun'. She does a fair bit of driving in her job and I've suggested she look at spending the money with one of the driving schools getting some good tips and maybe a blast in some exotic machinery thrown in for good measure. Because of where we live I looked at Knockhill but the courses they run aren't expensive enough !!. Anyone any ideas where else we could go ?

'The Wetter the better', IAM or RoSPA advanced driving lessons and a few track days. Organisations like red letter days provide the opportunity to drive some serious cars around for the day. Although I would be tempted by something that would help me day to day(like the above) than a hoon around in a car I would never drive again.

And a day with Mike Peck (Performance Driving School) with advanced road and track instruction should be high on the list. I'll be doing this one soon.

Doesn't John Haugland (sp?) run an ice rally school in Sweden. Couldn't be more than a grand for a day or two could it?
