Have a very close look at the photo of the WRX wagon at this site I came across. The bumper layout is different and the side repeater indicators are built into the side reflectors.

What is this model ?

The American cars comes with bulbs in the reflectors, if you take yours out you can see there is a slot for a bulb

The bumper has a little vent at the side, when 5 doors don't normaly having one

Isn't this the American spec MY02 ?

Fitted the white/clear side indicators and markers to mine today at Bentley's and the side markers have a shaped moulding on the back where the bulb holder would fit if it were cut out.

The original cars first made available to the USA were almost identical to the UK cars except for 16" wheels. I have a larger photo of this car and the bumper layout is different to UK cars. I wonder if this is what the MY03 could look like ?

 

Hi Bob, thanks for the "clickable version" not sure how to do that yet. I have a larger photo of the same car I found on a google search tonight. As I have said, I wonder if the bumper mod will arrive over here ?

From what I know there were a few things diff' with the US model, for starters they didnt have the MY01, it was called MY02 from day1
Brakes were poorer etc

Yes Scott you are right, the 5 door bumper has always been different. Just checked some other photo's. Silly me. (Rushes off to get eyes tested)
