hi all.just brought a52plate wrx.after 2 days and 200 miles ive got management light.had comp plugged in tellin me p00546 bank1 sensor 1.had fault cleared twice now.will only comes back on on a good run with a bit more turbo use.the car was only used for small town journies for the last 9 months.could the exhaust sensor be coated with waste.?

 

if you are in the midlands I would suggest taking it to a specialist. here are a few in the midlands that I know of.

sounds like a dodgy lambda sensor mate imo .

 

Sounds exactly like mine m8, is it idling funny after a run before settling below 1,000 revs. Mine was also holding back when accelerating hard. If so it is probably the Cam Sensor. £140 from Scoobaru and a 5 minute fit. Mine gave me something like bank 1 sensor on EOBD.

 

no never heard of them mate sorry. im only in belper myself.

 

deff lambda sensor.been told because decat up pipe changed sensors burnt out.the bloke that mapped car has suggested getting rid of sensor.[replace with resistor]any ideas?
