Default Getting a car back on the road?

Hey guys,

My Impreza has been off the road for a while now, SORN'd and all. So it now has no MOT and no Tax.

Now obviously you need MOT for tax? So how do I get it MOT'd without breaking the law not having any tax? Could I borrow a set of trade plates ??
Or is it allowed to drive the car without Tax and MOT if you're driving it to the MOT centre? And just how far.. as I need to drive a good 30min to get it where I want it going..

Thanks for any help!

Regards

first thing get your car insured, you are alowed to drive your car to a mot station within resnoble distance and back with no mot/tax and to get repairs done but once moted you must tax it to use it on the road

And the MOT must be pre-arranged, you can't turn up on spec because if you do get stopped, and the chances are higher with ANPR cameras out there, you will need to prove that is where you are going

As above, you can drive directly to and from an MOT testing station where you have a prebooked appointment. You must, of course, be insured.

You have to apply for the tax disc at a post office - it cannot be done online - where as well as the MOT and insurance you will also need your V5 so that the barcode on it can be scanned. The DVLA website says that you need to fill in a form but this is incorrect, you just need the V5.

HTH

If I were you I'd get someone to travel to you put a base map on to drive the car off boost, and then MOT etc ?
Thanks for the advice so far guys, are we saying no need for me to nab some trade plates then?
