I have a HKS Induction kit and HKS Hiper exhaust on the Wee Red Beatsie (WRX STi 1)

I can still hear the stereo so can't be too loud....is there such thing as too loud?

Cool

Hiya all,
Ive got the Blitz thing on my MY95
sccoby & its actually not that loud, u can hear it more on cold winter mornings but
once u've got the stereo on its fine, the exhaust I have is a limited edition made by TRIAL in japan & they both sound superb together, also the Blitz thing does look alot better than the HKS as its a stainless steel filter & brightens up the engine bay nicely!!

HELLO,
Its bithday time shortly and im thinking of an HKS induction kit for my type r.
Its already fitted with a HKS full de cat super drager system and is quite noisy,Im just a bit worried it might sound too loud and ill end up regretting it.
Has anyone got this combination and can you tell me what its like.
Also ive been advised to get an anti lift kit fitted, do they work and how much are they?
Cheers,
Buddy.

if it's anything like the Blitz thing it'll probably wind you up

What about a rampod or good panel filter??

Matt.

I've got the induction kit/blow off valve and super dragger on my Type RA and it's tolerable. Yes it's loud, but its all the right noises and if i'd wanted refinement i'd have bought the beemer! In all honesty, you can barely hear the induction noise over the exhaust.

Go for it. It's superb quality kit.

K&N on mine sounds good, MY97, a nice subtle woooosh when you turn up the gas!! not tooo loud, but you can hear it, makes the stardard dump valve sound a bit louder as well,
good price too at £68, dead easy to fit.

Buddy,

The HKS doesn`t really make any more noise than the reciculating 1 u`ll take off (well mayb jus a bit) it is the dogs pods. The blitz is a bit more show than go.

buddy i've got the exact system, hks induction with decat hks super drager exhaust. nice rumbling sounds, the odd pop and my mate even saw a flame but he may be taking the ****!!! go for it, just turn the stereo up!!! also got alk- well worth teh investment. i'm off to well lane next week for the dyno run so i'll let you know teh increase in bhp/torque with the exhaust as i didn't have it last time it was dyno'ed. if you want to hear it turn up at well lane turbo next sunday and i'll demonstrate. pumpers.

Buddy, I had the same set up on my STi4. I recently removed the SuperDrager because it was too loud.It did however significantly increase BHP/torque.I have left the HKS Superflow on though and in comparison to the exhaust makes little noise but for £180 I d'ont honestly think it makes any difference in BHP/torque or throttle response.

showing off again barge, eh
the blackbeast (MY94 WRX Wagon) has a Apex center section and Apex N1 backbox, this in itself is a bit loud. It's also got same induction kit as barge, comments much the same as barge, it's loud but not too loud, great whooshing sound. Never heard it from the outside so I can't really say if it scares grannies and kids.

I do know that the deep rumble of the exhaust sets of car alarms though he he
