Default Murtaya Kit Cars

The wife has just been sat scanning through my Jap Performance mag and spotted the Subaru she liked (I was really hoping it was the P1). She pulled out the classifieds and announced she liked the Murtaya.
I really like my bug and have started to come up with some plans for tidying the bodywork, and the practicality of 4/5 seats is great, but at the same time I'd love to build a kit car

What's everyone think of the murtaya's looks, and handling for those who've driven one

Hi Jon,
First off I am biased as it is my company that designed and makes the Murtaya! Independent reviews have always been brilliant, I am sure you are aware we picked up an award from Jap Perf mag in 2007 and have just won Car of the Year 2008 in the kit industry awards.

Some top journos have driven the car and all loved it, some links here to online articles and also other Pistonheads forums talking about the Murtaya - hope these may be of some interest.

Come and drive one! We have demo cars available and you are very welcome to come and have a play. There is a demo day at Llandow race track in south wales on Sat 28th Feb where we will have about 10 Murtaya in attendance. Give us a ring or email if you would like to come along (it is free!).

I won't get involved in this thread any further so it does not look too salesy!

All the best,

Neil.

Neil

Thanks for the offer, the day sounds great, unfortunately I'm up in Liverpool that weekend for my in-laws golden wedding. Had it been Oulton Park or Anglesey I would have jumped at the chance.

i have driven their black rally car demo, and with what i believe is std wrx power (or around 280 max i think) it was pretty impressive, with 350-400 it must be sensational

As the factory engine builders for Adrenaline, I would say I am slightly less biased, lol.
The Murtaya is one of the most amazing cars I have ever driven in my 20 years behind the wheel.
I have driven lots of them from the baby 220hp, to the wild 360/400 versions and all of them would blow you away.
The handling is precise and the ride quality for a kitcar is superior to anything else I have seen. I will be driving one of the cars to Llandow and am really looking forward to it, see you there Neil.

as a even more unbiased murtaya soon to be owner-may this year lol-the murtaya is great faster than equivalent scooby due to weight loss, more personalised as can alter gearbox/engine/diffs/suspension depending on what you want eg mine will be wrx 1996 with simtek mapped by martyn hopefully 320bhp with type r gearbox/diffs so classic dccd in sonic blue like my old p1-get a cheap flifgt and have a nosey...then put down a deposit lol

Hi Martin sorry I missed you the other week. Hope you like your selection of used parts! Look forward to seeing the build come together.

Alan and Martin @ A.j's its going to be a good day.!!

Regards the Murtaya it really is better than you can imagine..point to point nothing will live with it or make you smile like it does! Trust me if you have a vague interest get in touch with Neil @ AMS make the trip to test and see it in action..The spec options/build options are huge.

Think I can safely say that all the suppliers involved are all proud to be !

Roll on LLandow...looking forward to helping out and proud to be taking the monster spec silver rally spec Murtaya.. The largest number of Murtaya's together in one place so far and some great guest cars lined up also!
See ya there

The Roadster R kits start from £12995 plus donor; it's a lot of car for the money.
The new RTS demo car will be knocking on supercar territory at over 500 bhp, 1060kg and four-wheel drive, the car should be awesome in it performances and handling.
As a build to order, drive away car the RTS on a 60 plate would be in the area of 50-60K, a lot of money I agree. But if you are in the market for a car with this level of performance what could you get for less than a 100k.
Cheers
Graham

New turbo turned out to be a bit of a pain so we twisted and clocked it. Looks pretty good I think.
