Price is in the right ball park so why do you think you have been done.
Found a WR1 for the same money although the mileage is a lot higher.

Remember buy with your head and not you *****.
Price depends on what the lowest he will sell it for and the most you'll willing to pay for it
Seriously though for a 2004JDM STi could be £7-11K
£10K, seems top end but about right for the description
IMHO

If you paid too much, why ask on here after the fact ?
I paid full retail for mine, but back in 2002 I could afford it.
As stated, if you are happy then get on with enjoying it !

Valuations here are sedom that accurate, because everyone is in denial about the dumbling worth of their car. I have little to do with Imprezas now, beyond having one laid up in my garage, so I cant help either. Id go as far as to say that its a damned good price for the vendor to achieve in todays market.
For two, if you read a bit further down you would see I was just after peoples opinions.
For three, I earn 40k plus a year so I can afford it mate.....IMHO
But thanks for the info
Why ask for peoples opinions only to give them smart answers when you dont like what they have to say. Settle down and enjoy the forum before you put folk off trying to help you in the future.

For one if you read what I put properly I "pick" up tomorrow and hand over cash - I haven't actually paid for it yet but it will be cash NOT finance.

, and also your response to dunx's reply was a bit stupid as you never said you where paying when you pick your car up only that you where picking it up! You seem to have an attitude my friend when people where trying to help/give their opinion which is what you ask for.Aaron
As u will see I am a new guy to this forum and also to Subaru so I can see your point when you say is there any need - but when I received such a ars*y comment from someone I class as "experienced" in this field what do you expect me to do. Treat others the way you want to be treated and think about how you reply to people cause I found your comment very be-littling. As I said at the beginning of this I am new and just wanted constructive advice not condesending remarks.....
Thanks

Bet you wish you'd never asked now

Reading between the lines Andy I think you know you have paid or about to pay too much.
The guys are trying to let you down easy and your getting your **** out.
The bottom has well and truly fell out of the performance car market, and you should be bidding your seller in the nuts.
Advice good or bad is freely given on here, make of it what you will and grow up.

with all the greatest respect if you want to gain some respect and helpful advice from the people on here who are a fountain of knowledge, then just a friendly caution, I would tone down the
a tad and up the As for whether you have had your pants yanked down on the price, well the price is always only what you think it is worth. You obviously, by your description, thought it was worth 10K and so are prepared to pay that.
as for your last comment about earning 40K, I suggest you make friends with Matteboy on here
He will guide you in the ways of finance
