Default Seriously considering a gearbox change. Advice needed

In the next 6 or less months i will be carrying out some modifications to my uk turbo. Im aiming for 330ish BHP.

I have seen several similar uk turbos with standard gearbox's so im guessing reliability will be ok for it, but wouldn't mind changing while im at it.

I like the idea of DCCD. If i wanted to put in a gearbox with this, what parts would i be needing(other than the gearbox obviously) .

I'm guessing it would be cheapest to go for a type R or RA drive train as it would be cheaper than a newage, but would this type of gearbox be ok for this sort of power level.

Cheers.

you'll just have some very short low ratio's with the RA box, i have one, acceleration is great but top end is restricted.

To save with the wiring nightmare's your better going for the electronic dccd unit for about £350 i think if they ever get them in. (there was a group buy at one point)

Its ok short ratios are fine as i have a daily driver for work. I've heard that along with the gearbox ill need a rear differential?

The dccd has a different transfer gear set up at 1:1, whereas your UK turbo will have 1.1:1. This means that your front and rear diff ratios at the moment will be different, whereas with the Dccd you'll need a rear diff that matches the front. Most dccd set up ar 4.44 front and rear diffs.

See The SPDA - Transmission Chart

You'll also need the diff ecu and associated wiring if you want control over the locking of the diff - if you don't wire it up, it 'll run if fully open mode all the time i.e 65R/35F.
