Bit of help please
Well after a long time away from owning a scooby, the time has come to get back into the driving seat of one again.
Just one thing though, which model do i go for , got my mind set on getting either a 2006 spec C or a spec RA.
But question is which do i go for.
After previously owning a STI5 Type R i wanted something that will have the same driving feel and performance.
So guys the questions is what is the real difference between a spec C and a spec C RA (2006 model)????
To be honest car will probably never get tracked but at the same time can live with the fact either wont be as smooth as silk on the comfort side on the road.
cheers
Mel

Oh not this again, mate this type of question gets asked every week, please do a search.
Not having a go bud, gets a bit tedious after a while,
Go for a spec c mate, very good car, but can be noisy and raw at times, all depends on what you are planning to do with it also.

Sorry to ask this but i have been searching this for days now,
All i could find was a compariosn of the spec C type RA and the RA-R, which is not what im asking.
Just basically wanted to know if there is any major differences with the Spec C type RA over the normal Spec C.
Want to know if the extra premium is worth it for the RA.
Know what you guys mean by the way the type r is, but im sure once i drive the spec C it will be more then a capable car for me.

Ok mate, no problem. IIRC the RA is the better specced car, not sure on what exactly.
However i used to have a Spec C Ltd which was as a normal Spec C but came with A/C and Leccy widows and mirrors.
Best car i have had and only got rid of it for a 06 STI because of the birth of my son. however i have now modded the pants of it and its just as loud as the Spec C.

I suspect the RA has more suspension goodies but not sure.

Mac thats exactley what im going to see saturday, spec c limited, so has all the comfort on it as well as a few extras
well if its just the suspension and i think the seat are different in the type ra too, then prob just go for the Spec C. just thought it was a bit more special to pay the extra money for one.
Just hope the car doesn't dissappoint me.
I'll make sure to get some pics up of it if i end up getting it.

Mel,
I may be wrong on it just being the suspension, remember its a buyers market ATM.
plenty for sale on pistonheads as well.
Some good cars here: J PerformanceCars
Another one near you: Mr Roberts : Spec C UK supplied by Ian Lichfield, 53 reg 44k, F
Good luck on whatever you get.
