I was tootling down the A14 towards the M1 from Cambridge this AM, between 09.00 & 09.30ish.
Very slight patchy fog, mainly sunshine, but loads of cars, all travelling slowly - like 50/60mph
Very tedious, especially if you've a meeting to go to and you can't do the legal maximum
It wasn't until I got to about Kettering area, that I remembered that "The Caravan Show" was on at the NEC! Sure enough, I checked and I would say that over 75% of the cars on the road at that time had tow-bars
LOL
I suppose the clubbers must've thought I was some sort of renegade caravaner, what with my higher speed and the tow-bar on the back
Therefore, during the period of the show, anyone going towards Birmingham/NEC in the morning & away in the evening, be prepared to come across slow caravan club members - without caravans
