Default mk1 Type 25 owners - advice needed

Does anyone own or previously owned one of these.

I have read the press info on Litchfield's website but would like some comments on actual ownership.

My main use will be odd trackdays & some weekend use, I know some have recommended the standard 2.0L spec c but I have been offered a 2003 spec c type 25 & really like the thought of owning a rare car.

Not been a professional racing driver would I really notice "that much difference" between a standard spec c & spec c T25 on a track.

It is currently at 360/360, I would probably take it up to 400.

Another questions ; as it was born a spec c then converted to a T25 would all the additional cooling extras still be fitted ???

All your comments & thoughts would be appreciated

I have a MY05 T25 (not spec C), and can honestly say it is the best car I've ever had. Depending on when your's was built (whether it has the forged pistons etc) it should take 400/400 easily. It should have a build number plate in the engine bay (and probably a plaque in the cabin), if not check with Iain Litchfield that it is a genuine T25.

It will have all the additional cooling bits left on by Litcho.

Then sit back and enjoy

I own an ordinary Type 20 (2004) which I have had since it was brand new.

I chose the standard 2 litre option as it was a lot extra to have he 2.5 conversion. All the other bits suspension, etc. are the same. Powerstation told me the first service that it was running at about 320. The standard T25 was 350 at that time but had more torque.

The other purchase option was to have the car based on a standard JDM or a Spec C. The standard car is more of a GL type interior, so much better for day to day stuff. The C having having the better "racy" bits but less comfy (all relative of course).

Give me a ring and I will tell you what I know 07802 251985. All too much to list on a post.
