UpPipe/DownPipe/Re Map Mods
UpPipe, Downpipe, Re-Map. Sports cats
I have spoken to many ppl about this and they say it's the way to go.
But to understand a little more - can anyone shed information on gains?
1. BHP
2. Torque, NM and lbs
3. 0-60 - does it help?
4. Overall performance?
5. Other?
The car is a 2005, WRX with PPP - estimated 260 - 265 bhp

For an additional 15-20bhp would it be worth it? Mine went from 225bhp to 283bhp so the difference was really noticable. Not drove the WRX PPP. If you wanted more I think your turbo, fuel pump, will be the limiting factor.I was advised not to push the TD04 much past 280bhp.

You won't get a huge improvement if you already have PPP, but its probably still worth doing. A sportscat downpipe, decat uppipe and remap will be fairly straightforward.
1. 280-285 is achievable.
2. A good mapper will give you similar torgue figures.
3. The official 0-60 goes from 5.6 to 4.8 with PPP, so around 4.5? You need to be fierce with clutch/gearbox to even get close though.
4. Turbo should spool at lower revs and give boost through wider rev band.
5. MPG might be better when cruising.
I went straight from standard to this, so can't compare with PPP, so differences might not be as noticeable. To get above 300bhp you need new turbo, injectors, intercooler and more £££s.
