Been told you put your car on at your own risk, the operator will tell you this before they start

Make sure all your fluid levels are correct, that is a major one. Make sure that nothing is un-clipped flopping around in the engine bay. They will make sure the cars upto temperature befor doing any run. Also if you oil is on the time to change it, then do it before you go. I think standard is about 212-220 for yours. Enjoy yourself and dont be dissapointed about figures, its only the start of the tuning bug. Good luck

Rich08 for your car to go bang it has to be in a poor state or as i said none of the basic pre-checks carried out. My first impreza was in 1999 and it was a JDM WRX 94 Wagon. 70K no history but very tidy. I did all the basic checks and changed the fluids i needed to, Great. After 30 secs on the rollers it blew up caught fire and burned the garage down........................ Did it **** everything went fine and it made 222 bhp, because i did the basics. Stop ****ting yourself, do the checks and post the results tommorow.

I must of been to about 8 rolling road days for scoobs and 20-30 cars put through on each occasion. I have never seen one blow up yet. It does worry you though when they put the disclaimer in.

Provided your car is well looked after then it will be fine.

The session can be quite useful as if it's not making power they can advise why, e.g. leak somewhere etc.

only seen one go bang not a scoob i will add but we all knew it would before it went on, as long as your oil is ok (level and age) and coolant is ok there shouldnt be a problem (as long as the engine and drivetrain are ok that is) a good operator on a dyno will know if any problems are about to occur good luck i was cacking myself when mine went on in feb before any mods had been done mine made 266.8 bhp with only an exhaust was great fun to see in a scary kind of way

The scariest thing I have ever seen (well heard) was when a samco hose popped out, the section right after the turbo and before the FMIC (this was on a Cally Turbo) when on full boost of 21 psi (phase 2 kit).

Flaming bang scared the living bejeesus out of every one there!!!! Honestly it was like the crack of doom, if anyone had a weak heart there would've been CPR going on.

Oddly the same hose popped on car on the way home from a RR day....

You know the bit I always liked was watching all 4 wheels spinning around. I know it sounds daft, but it's kinda like "Hey look they DO all spin!"

So a list for you:

Oil change if it's due
Water and oil levels
Check for loose under bonnet bits
Tyre pressures
ECU reset then go for a quick blast

Anymore?

199.8 isn't bad with a boost leak.

Get yourself the OE recirc valve. I'm sure someone on here is selling one.

I've heard good things about DSA... what were they like?

It's lost 9 bhp in 10 years that's not bad imo.

i wouldn't get too hung up about power figures as lon as it's alright in the road (obvioulsy sort the boost leak out).
Go through everything connected to the turbo making sure all the pipework is in good condition and properly connected.
if you think it's the VTA change ot back to the standard recirc.

Worst impreza i 've seen was someone using air hoses for fuel lines
