Got my car back tonight..........
.........after it had it's head gaskets changed. It also had rear crank case oil seal, a full cambelt kit inc tensioners and rollers, and some welding and skimming done on the heads, (welding had to be done due to some corrosion).
It also had a new clutch fitted, the last one had only done 10,000 miles but was knackered.................and no, I don't rag it away from standing starts
I had new plugs fitted too. Thne total was just less than £1700 inc VAT.
Just hope it goes OK for a while now, don't want any more big bills
