My brand new (to me) 01WRX has only done 13000 miles and has just needed a new wheel bearing. My dealer was extremely curtious and efficient, even placed the repair on the 'old' warranty not my brand new one (!) And it will take more than this to shake my faith, but I just wondered if this is a known fault out there.
