Slight rev increase when changing gear. sti 2003.

Slight rev increase when changing gear. sti 2003.
When i change gear by car tends to rev slightly when a do so then goes back down. My old 2002 wrx did exacly the same but its more noticable on the sti as its alot louder. What is causing it? or is it just me?
