WR1 vs Civic Type R
Came across this one on YouTube :-
YouTube - Subaru WR1 vs Civic Type R
Do you think that the Type R has been modified in some way and/or the Scoob driver can't drive properly?

Not sure what you mean. Can't tell how hard the WR1 was trying and he still pi55ed it.
You'd have to mod a 197bhp car pretty seriously to match a 320bhp WR1. I don't think even a turbo/supercharger would be enough.

WR1 should have nailed it straight away, Wheelspin from the Civic was comical

You can never tell with these things. there is a milk float out there that does the standing quarter in the 10s
I've no idea who won that as the civic seemed to stop trying. As for mods it should be possible to beat the WR1 with a turbo/s charger. That is after all what the WR1 is....2 litre with turbo

wr1 driver cant drive! dont get me wrong these CTR's can be quite nippy, my mate had a 300bhp CTR and used to kill my old wrx from a rolling start. but from a standing start (if driven right) WR1 should have won no questions asked.........

Turbo Civics can be stupid power. The video showed what I would expect to happen from a standing start, Civic spins all it's power away in first and second and the WR1 pulls away. In third Civic gets it's power down and pulls it back. OK in a straight line, but show it some corners.
Civic is also FWD so not as much transmission losses, and lighter

My bro has a type r and we do battle a fair bit.
I have 286 bhp in my wrx.
In the wet no competition- wrx win
In the dry- even contest all the way up to the speed limit
