2005 sti rear end knocking

Default 2005 sti rear end knocking

hi
i have recently found to have a rear end knocking noise on my car,somebody told me this is a common fault on the 05 sti,s and shocks are to blame, they, done 18k from new .normal road use , not hammered .

does anyone know where i can get a decent replacement part

i just picked up at kyb ultra gold replacement meant to be good and improved over the original design around £120 a side from camskill

i still have one to buy going to keep the 2 the same.

the originals and the ultra gold are the same dampening rate as well.

I had my rears replaced under warranty then replaced them 100miles later with coilovers!! You can buy mine if you want them buddy??

Even outside of warranty some dealers are replacing with factory parts FOC...always worth phoning to ask your local dealership IMHO
