sidelight for HID dipped beam

You need some LED side light Bulbs.

You can often find them on Ebay.


Just watch as they might be wired the other way round to normal bulbs as i found.


I had to cut the 2 wires going to the side light and switch them around so positive was now negative and vice versa on both head lights for them to work.

10min job max to do and fit.


Defo worth doing, looks loads better.

i got the said led bulbs from ebay & found that they seemed to be handed ie left &right as i tried one in one head light & it didnt work tried the other in & it worked!!!

LEDs will only pass current in one direction. If they don't work when you first install them rotate them 180 degrees and effectively change the polarity, then it will work. That is the way diodes are designed to work

Me too..

I swapped my standard 501's for some halfords White/Blue 501's.... waste of time...they still look yellow next to the HID's.
