Default Newby Scooby Dooby Virgin - Some help??

Hi. WOW there's a lot of members on here. EXCELLENT!!!

I have just purchased my first scoob. Wanted one for years and now my kitcar has been sold, i have finally got the space for my second car to be a subaru. Its a 1999 WRX (not STi) and is immaculate throughout with a few exceptions under the hood which is what i'd love some opinions on.

This is my best explanation of a few issues and hoping you may have some suggestions what could be the resolution:

1. Engine smells of oil after a run. Cannot see any leaks or drips after letting it stand.

2. Puff of smoke when changing gear but only when its floored. (colour - grey/dark)

3. Gurgling noise coming from the accuator near turbo after a run????

4. Turbo only running at .5 bar after a run but 1.1 - 1.2 when just warmed up.

Any advise, suggestions welcome. I hope this forum is a friendly one!!!

Peace.

1/ Rocker cover gaskets woule be a favourite, impossible to see unless you get under the car and remove any undertrays..

2/ No worries

3/ Thats probably the expansion tank on the manifold, and normal!

4/ Requires a bit of digging, probably the car is still mapped for 100RON Jap fuel and is pulling boost due to det' on our fuel (you have to run at least super, if not better)
