No expert but aren't they 2.5 litre engines? The Hawk STI can get to 380ish with a few basic mods and a remap, so may be possible.

Ford Focus ST2 ??

If you have the stage 3 tune you have to change the turbo and the stage 3 is 340bhp and you have to have the front mount intercooler to with remap plus exhaust and filter!

I know this because i took my friends car to Puma Build 3 weeks ago!!!

It would take loads of work to get a rs focus to 400bhp and cost big bucks! A standard one is 219 bhp......

Quite a few with that and more power. It will need forged internals, but the block is good for that, it will prob have a primary designs manifold, FMIC and a T35 or similar turbo etc.

Lots of Focus RS's running 300bhp. No idea if they can handle 400horses, but that power through the front wheels will be mental.

Is it the lad that works for the fruit machine place? Might be wrong but does it have black alloys.

I was told that he blew the engine up and had it rebuilt stronger.

If its the same lad, I think he had a GTIR when I had mine.

I've also had a local lad try to tell me his Impreza was running over 300 but failed to realise that its pretty obvious to tell a sport with its drum brakes - complete tit!

There is a lad in village that has a Focus RS running around the 360bhp mark with a bigger turbo, larger front mounted intercooler, remap & some other mods!

Bet its a bit of a handful to drive in the rain with it being front wheel drive!

No

With UK cars being good value right now I could have another but I really something different like an STI RA

I have to sell my Jeep first though, and no one wants a 4.0L Jeep at the moment

Puts me off too. Really not prepared to go along with the governments tax-con bollox.

You can get UK WRX bugeyes for 5K but they are £400 to tax! Its just rubbish. Bargain newage IMO is the Prodrive Bugeye STI but they are too much for what I want to pay.

I only want to spend £5K max on the car itself so thats pretty much classic only prices anway. If I get an STI RA it'll be a bitch as a daily driver with the gearing so will keep my trusty old golf for when I can't be arsed to bike home up high street

Only way of getting round the tax on Newage is buying an import thats taxed on its CC - which many are. There was an X reg STI 7 import for sale locally but they guy was asking way too much and it had a nasty bodykit on it.

edd was that the wr blue sti from hakin,i dont blame you for giving it a miss that is one awful body kit.
the easist way of turning a £10k car into a £5k car is to fit a £3k body kit lol.
