Default Identifying an item

I have a japanese EJ20 complete engine in my garage, is there an engine number/code on these engines? I need to identify it along with the heads, it is cdb from an early classic, but i need to know what model car it came from please? I have ideas of what car, but i need to know exactly what car, so is there a code/number stamped on them so i can identify it from a list?
Thanks

CDB has cross hatching on it

The head codes are by the exhaust ports

Engine Type number is just back from the oil pressure switch (EJ 20/22/25)

It will narrow it down a bit,but you can only be 100% sure by a checking the type of cams/shim type/valve ID/head gasket type/forged or cast pistons.
