Unhappy Front brake caliper come off

I been had a front pass side knocking noise for a week+, had the wheel off, checked the damper, checked the spring, even removed and placed some rubber underneath the spring
Yeah well I thought it help. Anyway yesterday a thub and horrid noise whilst brakingWhooly cat f*** kind of thud. The bottom bolt for the caliper had come out, when brake applied it would rotate forward on the top bolt and get caught between the wheel and bolt, if you know what I mean.
Had to nurse it home using engine braking, gears and had brake

Now have a nice scar of a on the inside of my wheel, but suppose it could have been worse. Bugger. That beeing said, better than replacing front shocks and springs. Just a bolt, and wheel refurb. At least the suspension knocking is gone
