Bought an MY98 Impreza Sport from a Subaru dealer late last year.
It's got 71k on the clock and has full Subaru warranty.

When I picked it up the dealer said that synchro crunch in 1st/2nd was something I will have to live with due to the mileage ?!

Is this correct or should a main dealer fix this under warranty ?

Any help would be appreciated

try double de-clutching for a bit? see if this prevents it...if it does then you may be beating the syncro by shifting too fast...if not try your dealer..

If it has a warranty then it should be fixed.

Don't take no for an answer.

If you're double declutching properly you should be able to to make crunchless gearchanges even without a clutch (IYSWIM)

Maybe, I'll try it again then.

Is there anything about limited mileage in the standard warranty description ?
