can anyone shed some light on the red top phrase is there a part of the engine bay thats red on sti if so why doesnt my JDM 94 sti have a "red top"

 

i think the early sti's didnt come with a red top ,all it is is a red inlet manifold that sits on the top of the engine .From what i have read mate some do some dont ,unless its the later ones say 95+ and all the sti's have them but i might be wrong lol .

 

96 onwards IIRC came with the red inlet manifold. does your 94 have a silver slanty tmic nathan?
