can you get a smaller airbag steering wheel ?

I have a classic MY98 WRX with a momo airbag steering wheel.

Do i bin the airbag and go for my small momo snap off wheel and risk facial injuries, or can i get a smaller steering wheel with an air bag to swap with???

 

I've searched in the past for such an airbag wheel with no success. I have an 03STi so have a 15" wheel that is still too big, I think 14" would be about ideal and apart from feeling better would usefully weight up the over light steering a bit.

The 14" wheel (which has an airbag) on my '98 Fiesta runabout feels far more natural. Not sure if there would be any insurance issues with a non airbag wheel.

 

i didnt even think about insurance to be honest hmmmmm

 

the later uk classic has a nicer wheel than the 97-98 uk one made by momo, not sure if that helps

 

Grade A Subaru have an MY08 STI wheel on ebay, with airbag, its 12 and a half inches.

 

Classics have a different sized airbag to New Age cars and I believe that early bags and late sensors and vice versa, dont work properly...
