hello everyone
engine light flashes somtimes in high gear,4/5,if i floor it at 3000/4000rpm,when i say somtimes twice in 3 years,Q,what could it be plus is it going to blow up???
PS........car not used very often 1or two times a week,and not hard at all.
plus left standing somtimes for a month at a time,would this cause problem cheers v much

Could be fuel related if you leave fuel stored it will loose octaine ratings.

To be honest, could be anything - Neutral Position Switch, O2 sensor, poor fuel etc.

Most of the above are generally fairly harmless, but the only way to know for sure is to go and get it checked out - the codes will be stored so can still be read.

I would get this done just in case it is something serious, although it's unlikely otherwise it would have been on permanently.

If it is a classic, you can even read the codes yourself:
