I had my tracking done yesterday, but when I got home I noticed that the tracking guages had left marks on three of my 1 week old wheels. I have tried to clean them but the marks are still there. What can I do about it for instance can I claim from the garage?
What makes it worse is the rim is polished and the marks stand out.

Work was carried out by a well known tunning company - I will not name them as I don't believe in complaining about companies as it tends not to solve anything

Thumbs down

If I were you I'd get back to the garage pronto! - and don't leave until they agree to sort it out for you!

Good luck!

Sam dont take it, tell them about it and make them pay for the damage. This is not what you expect when you pay large sums of money for work on your car. If they dont sort it out I will not be using them for any work on my car in the future.

on my last car a guy gouged a huge scratch in my rim with a tyre lever, I didn`t say anything at the time becuse I thought I could sort it and he seemed v apologetic, I decided later that I wasn`t happy and was amazed to find they didn`t bat an eyelid and paid for recoating. seems they were insured. so I wouldn`t worry, just tell `em to sort it.

I had a similar incident happen to me..
Except in my case the tyre iron slipped and marked the side of my car
The company involved said it was no problem....told me to get a quote for the repair and they'd pay for it
Which in fairness to them they did
AFAIK they're insured for situations like this..
I would recommend that you go back to them first thing monday morning if you can though
Don't let it go for too long !

Niall
