Posted this in general tech but got no response so trying in here.

Over the past couple of months my Defi oil pressure gague has been alarming up, sometimes it would be ok for a few days other times it's on/off throughout the journey. It has gradually got worse to the point that it spends more time buzzing it's t#@*s of than it does working . Thought it was the wiring in the plug on the back of the control box. so i hard wired it in, still N/G, swapped wiring between gagues still N/G, checked wiring at the plugs that join the cables together under the bonnet all seems ok. Is there any way of checking the sender unit Voltages etc

Oil temp gague is working as normal, oil level ok (changed 2000 miles ago)

Assume oil pressure is ok, original sensor still fitted and no alarms, plus engines not gone bang.

It's not something silly like the alarm limit has been changed?

Is it a 2.5 motor as they are snapping oil pick-ups at the moment....

I know of two S'netters in this position, one got a brand new engine in a crate the other sorted his problem himself..

Thanks for the replies.

No limits have been changed, the gague reads 0 when it alarms, then returns to normal for a while then goes of again.

No its not a 2.5 motor.

Its mounted on a Scooby clinic adaptor in the same place as the original Subaru one, which is stil fitted.

is there enough space to have both OE and Defi fitted? Did you use a T connector and where did you get it from?
Thanks

its a machined 4 way insert that comes from scoobyclinic.
I have one also.
I also have defi issues although mine are due to the fact that I used scotch clips rather than solder Im sure

Have you got any pics of it? I can't find it in scoobyclinic's site.
Thanks
