Hypothetical Question - Would you?
#1
Ok it's 2 years from now and you have just been caught for speeding by a camera hidden inside a motorway sign for doing 71mph in a 70 for the second time.
You are facing a six month ban and if you are banned you will lose your job and probably your home. When you come to renew your insurance you will find the premium has tripled. Because you have defaulted on your mortage you'll find it very difficult to get another one for a long while etc etc
Now truth or consequences time.
Do you tell anyone that you've been banned and hope you don't have an accident or get stopped within the six months, so that you can continue to have a house, job reasonable insurance etc.
OR
Do you do the right thing and inform everyone who needs to know, regardless of the consequences. Losing house, job etc etc.
or do you keep stum and so probably keep everything you've worked hard for?
Forgot, there's an option C.
You find a 'mate' down the pub who can fit you out with a false driving license for about half the cost of the fine.
Ok option A,B or C

Neil,
In two years...
well you won't have a job, because they will automatically notify your employer about the ban. Then, even if you had some spare cash, the forward facing cameras would perform image recognition on the drivers face, so they would get you for that as well.
They would probably even install CCTV in your newsagents, so you couldn't buy a copy of Razzle magazine and stay at home!
However, as i have said before - "Who is watching the detectives?". This is going to become more and more important! Just who is checking that GATSOs and NewsagentCAMs are being used for the good of the people. We won't be allowed to know because Mr Edwards and the like will have deemed that we are not worthy. It won't stop at cars - they may have banned the Clipper Chip in the US, but that is because it was unconstitutional. Over here in Blighty (er, the EU)they will monitor/record/charge/tax everything that we (want to) do.
BE VERY AFRAID of "little" changes - they will become far bigger, and you won't be able to object.

In two years from now, there won't be a 70!
You'll have got caught doing 71 in a 55!
Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately folks, we (young Men) are exactly the people the government are targetting.
In my opinion, on Motorways, they should concentrate on improving lane discipline and getting people to keep their distance.
Regards
Kurt
Back to the question, I think I wouldn't tell anyone about the ban.
By the way, you can insure against getting a ban these days. They will provide you with a driver for the duration of your ban for up to six months. I think the premium is about £14.00 per month.
