knocking.. after lowering car

Default knocking.. after lowering car

evening all, i fitted lowering springs to my 1998 uk turbo at the weekend, trouble is, now i have a knocking / clunking noise when steering is turned at slow speed, i thing my driveshaft / cv is knackered????

any body else had this happen?? any other theories???

make sure the springs are located correctly in the top and bottom spring seats and the orientation of the top spring seat is correct, it's eccentric. The largest offset faces outwards toward the wheelarch.

try a drop of oil down the top of the strut rubbers.

i had similar and this cured it, funnily enough

right, hang on guys... i mis- explained,,,

the knocking is not to do with springs or struts, its from the driveshaft area, only when you drive along, nothing to do with bumps...

i reacon a wheel bearing has gone up the ****ter :-( sounds like a squelching grinding noise now...

hope the hubs ok....
