Default Sti spoiler from ebay??! anyone tried it?

Anyone bought an STi replica spoiler from this seller on ebay before?
And if so, how does the quality fare?

It's the cheapest I found so far and am considering going ahead with it.

SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI VERSION 7 & 8 REAR BOOT SPOILER on eBay, also, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 02-Jun-08 11:51:40 BST)

Also, which material is stronger, injection moulded P.U. Rim or as the one above, Fibre Re-enforced Plastic (FRP)??

Many Thanks.

tip for a newbie which im sure most will agree with...

cheapest is not the bestest

seriously, theyre cheaper for a reason. usually the quality is dubious

Buy one from a decent place, some of the cheaper ones aint bad, but some need a lot of prepping and filling etc.

There is an article on Scoobyworlds website about a spoiler they bought on ebay. Read it and you won't go near one with a barge pole. If you don't want to fork out for genuine subaru spoiler at least by from a decent supplier i.e scooby clinc or scoobyworld, and you won't regret the extra cash it costs you. Take it from somebody who's been caught out with cheap stuff on ebay only costs more in the long run when you have to replace it with the part you should have paid out for in the first place.

my bro had one and it took a lot of prepping
the guy in the body shop said if he had bought a btter one it would have saved a lot of time, pits everywhere in it
lined up fine and when sprayed up looked great but prepare urself for some work on it!

Hi mate if you want a very good spoiler try this web-site,
ETSRacing.com Subaru Styling Products GRP Manufacuturers, www.etsracing.com i had a classic scooby and bought a spoiler and front spliter and they are top quality they are exactly the same as original parts just without the original stamp and cheap, the front spliter was such a good fit it didnt need any screws to keep it on it just clipped into place, and the spoiler came with steel security cables, and its free delivery in uk.
