Cool AP Racing 4 Pots, DS3000s & Alcon Grp N Discs

My scoob failed its MOT yesterday due to excessive disc wear...

Car has done about 4000 miles max, 2 track days (Brands Indy & Oulton Park) & ScoobyLive! last year.

In situ - notice lack of grooves in disc

Shot showing the pads in the callipers. When the setup was new, the back of the pads would have been up have had the pistons pushed right back in.

Pad still has over 1/3 life left! But note the thickness of the disc

Another shot showing more clearly the wear on the disc. Pretty even overall, hardly much grooving.

Good thing about this set-up is that its comparitively easy to split the disc from the bell and get some more discs

Next set will be Godspeeds and only DS2500s I think!

Ah! I was going to call you in the morning

Yes, they are a good pad but I think I need to make discs last more than 2 trackdays LOL

Going to need some discs to go on that Alcon pattern bell please & preferably asap so that I can get them on, pads bedded and MOT sorted before ScoobyLive! next weekend!

Catch you tomorrow

Think you'll be disappointed with DS2500 after using DS3000. How about Pagid Blue, my disc wear is acceptable with these and they bite a lot harder than DS2500.

Cool

Passed the MOT

Thought I would be in trouble as only 8 miles from me to MOT station, hardly enough time to bed in for the brake test

But

He'd done that part last week with the old discs and it had already passed that no problem - today was just a visual check! LOL

Good to go on the Queen's Highway again
