Default De-cating a blob eye

Has anyone completely de-catted a blobeye WRX than replaced the small center CAT come MOT time? Is it likely to pass with this configuration? My classic turbo used to pass the MOT with the decat downpipe and the center cat fitted. I'm looking to do this as the Prodrive sports cat downpipes are like hens teeth and the decat is cheaper.

TIA
Andy.

If you completely de cat & then re fit the small center cat for MOT then this should be sufficent to pass, as long as the cat is in good nick & you get it nice and hot before the test.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking to de-cat/sports cat the downpipe and then get it remapped. I've also got a decat up-pipe to be fitted along with the downpipe and remap. I think that it should give me a pretty usable power/torque increase but didn't really want to remap with the standard downpipe in (loss of power). At the moment I've got the full afterburner vortex exhaust from the downpipe and love the way it sounds, its the power im after.

Thanks
Andy.
