Default Lower Diff Ratio

Hi All, first post so please be gentle!! I have a 99 UK and due to the area I live in and the cracking roads around here (Mid Wales), I find the diff ratio a bit long for my taste. Does anyone know if the WRX 4.1 will fit as a direct replacement for my current unit? Or are they not a straight swap? Also want to tighten the suspension (currently standard) without lowering too much. Any help greatfully received.

You can change the ratio's, but remember it's not just the rear diff that needs changing, you'll also need the front diff/gearbox as well.
