Ok looks like it's just me

 

I wish i was going, but looks like it'll be sometime in June for me

 

I should have posted it up earlier as it's a cheap open pit session - full up now though

 

if i can get back from work in time to get into the scooby ill quite happily pop up and say hi, but only as long as you let me have a passenger ride if your going out for a lap or too....

Track day was today Finished at 8pm

There were a few Scoobies out there including a very nice WR1, an 01 STi and a Classic STi.

Didn't get a chance to talk to any of them but had a good chat with plenty of other people there. Turned out it was a Track Day/Test session with all sorts of race cars on track - F355's, Radicals, Caterham 7's etc...

Not too crowded but bar 1 or 2 slower cars mine was the slowest thing out there.

Here's a short in-car clip including my only near spin of the day - moving out of the way a little too much for a race spec F355 to pass, decided to come in for a bit after that.

Would love to know a bit more about the turbo'd Mk1 Golf that passed - very rapid machine even keeping up with the radicals. There's a couple of photos in the link above too.

I did an evening track day @ brands 2 years ago. That exact golf was there that day and it was impressive then. I'm sure I found out some info but I can't remember anything.

Nope, I did a Novice day at Brands 2 years ago and have been to the Nurburgring twice (40 laps there).
Nurburgring is nothing like a normal race circuit though - found myself making all sorts of novice mistakes at Brands with my lines and braking points
