Default M O T brake test

Should an m o t station put my car on rollers to do brake test ? Was unshore as have heard can do damage to centre diff !!!!

we had a car that was too low for the roller brake test so the garage took it out on the road thereselfs for a test

it can damage the centre diff , it shouldn't be tested on the rollers , it should be road tested

yes as said it should with a tapley meter on the road to measure the rate of deceleration.

Thanks all thought i would confirm it before i go for my test on saturday. Rather that than end up with my gear box in many pieces.

It's covered in the mot testers handbook,I posted it on another thread recently.
Unfortunately I'm not@ home but I'll have a look for it.

I can't see the brake rollers damaging the viscous center diff, not for the slow speed and short duration of the test.

As already said needs to be done on the road and that's from a mate who's an MOT tester.

Any permenant 4wd vehicle has to have a seperate test.. you cant stick them on the follers as they will try and climb out!

Mine was done the other week and was done on the road with a meter gauge of some sort
