Lancia Integrale for me, awesome machine. I remember many years ago someone had an Integrale rally look-a-like, was incredibly fast point to point, had never seen anything move that quick (until I saw a scooby that is).
the whole cavalcade at Warp factor 9 thru the Lakes at 2am(ish) in 1985 (( think) was incredible!..the exhaust sounds, wastegates, dump valves, gravel flying, marshalls whistles blowing, a gzillion candle power lighting
the fastest thru the section we were in wasthe 6R4......incredibly quick!
we did a big thing on this era of cars at college. the group 'B' rally car era. the cars that were banned. and audis development of the quattro. they raced one in some american race of some sort, as usual the yanks had there ignorant technologies with lots of litres and even more cylinders. the audi had 2 litre and a turbo and it walked all over them.
In all the years i've had a pc, the on ly thing that has ever been my desktop background is some bird or other in a state of undress - but this is my new one

Audi and Peugeot took their cars to Pikes Peak where the americans were amused and bemused by such heavy cars going up where they were using light single seaters.
do a youtube search for Ari Vatenen, Pikes Peak you may be impressed

Wish I went to your college. Can't remember any of the economics drivel they tried to teach me, but could hear a 6R4 coming 3 miles down the road! (During the mid-80's I lived not far from an occasional rally event on a disused airfield and the drivers used to pop down in their rally cars to the local town to pick up fish & chips during the lunch-break).
yes my college has its proud/fun moments, we have a couple of rally 306's and a single seater renault. uni will be better in september for motorsport engineering though and yeah i have seen the pikes peak videos too
I have recorded this to watch later - I guess from the title it is really just the same as the DVD of the same name? Sounds like it from the comments above. Great DVD seen a few times ages ago but will be watching this one anyway
